Nick Drake

I’m a new fan of Nick Drake (RIP) – the acoustic folk style with express every special detail of this music style. He has something special with the acoustic guitar and lyrics, it’s just a perfect combination.. I’m really impressed and sad because it will be great for whole world watch a talented man like him, playing, singing but that’s life. I’m trying to find nice songs to post because I don’t wanna be “season fan”, I’m listening the same song, enjoying the rythym, everything. Talking Nick Drake I’m searching for covers, nice covers and I’ll post because the youtube singer squad it’s the motion of this blog, more songs, musics later – I’m really sorry about this whole week without post, it’s too much busy for me right now back at work, working for the whole company and getting ready for the xmas season, I’ll try to be more fair in the next time, mahalo.

Two guys playing “Ocean”, Jon and Jarrod. This is a cover of the one of greatest instrumental songs in history, with no doubts. But there’s something even more cool, two guys playing in another style, they started in another chord, combination.  – pretty amazing. Danyka Nadeau and Tyler Martin, I found this guys playing a cover of La Roux – Bulletproof – great song by the way. And they’re really great. A lot of things made my mind to post about them, they’re very eclectic and that’s great when you’re talking about amateur singers – Play different songs, in different chords.

She likes to cover singers like Rihanna, Beyoncé even Estelle – isn’t my favorite type of music – but she really impressed me whit her talent, congrats girl and nice teamwork, that’s awesome, mahalo.

The reality of music

Is all about quality ? In these days no, isn’t. It’s simple, we have some kind of addiction in money, specially in this business, music is a huge business to make money. My answer isn’t and it’s pretty simple, all the youtube singer that I posted here; Pianki, Kina, Sarah, Jerem, Kiersten, Mike – they’re all very talented, right ?  But in some styles, you won’t get a lot of money and that’s what music producers want.

“We have some addiction in money.”

Hiphop is the exemple of a style with a lot of money invested, why ? I’ve no idea, we can hear about explicity sexuality, stupid lyrics – but a great beat, rythym – But isn’t enough to make this music style so powerful, it’s something that we’ll never know. Unfortunately we live in a world moved by money, that’s our reality until some change occurs, we will enjoy our youtube singers on youtube.

Checking some covers of Jack Johnson, John Butler Trio and Tristan Prettyman I saw this dude playing: “Beautiful” (a girl singing too), alright, the video is pretty awesome but I’m talking about him ‘cuz he has surf in hobby and music style. His name: Mike Salisbury, in his youtube channel you can watch him playing songs by; Jimi Hendrix, G Love and another important fact, he’s a songwriter. It’s a great recomendation if you’re a surf lover and a surf music fan – you can download his cd on his website, enjoy it, mahalo.

Her name: Sara Kraus. What a talented and sweet voice, she’s really great, she has a music taste involving bands like: Secondhand Serenade, Tegan and Sara – awesome. Unfortunately she isn’t updating new videos -  without the guitar – but what a talent, mate, it’s very impressive and take some surf lessons, will be pleasure post about you again, surfing or singing, mahalo.

Nice job Jeff, take a look in that girl, Kiersten Holine, what a voice, she can sing in perfect pitch, that’s what I call a AWESOME duet. I’ll post later about this girl, more information, that’s stuff, mahalo.

Youtube singers, they’re very talented in every kind of way, most of them are songwriters. Pianki isn’t new for me, he plays a lot of Sufjan Stevens, he’s damn talented – Pianki – fan of awesome bands, a nice music style and a instrumentalist with repertoire, well.. I was watching some videos of him and he said something about this girl: Kaila – guess what I did ? Just checked the information, beauty girl and what a voice.

Also, he said something about a “incredible songwriter”, and here I’m talking about this dude: Allan Bear or just Von Bear. He’s really great and Jeff was totally right – again – when he said; incredible songwriter. Damn, we have a lot of talents in youtube and stupid people without any content playing just for money and talented people playing for the pleasure, mahalo.
